Steve is a Client Manager at James Rose Accountancy, bringing over 20 years of experience in the profession. He began his career in 2002 and became a Certified Chartered Accountant in 2008. Over the years, Steve has built up a broad range of expertise, managing diverse client portfolios across various industries, delivering practical, tailored advice to help businesses optimise their financial strategies, improve operational efficiency, and foster long-term growth. Steve is committed to providing customised solutions that meet the unique needs of each business, helping them stay compliant and succeed in a competitive marketplace. As a QuickBooks Advanced ProAdvisor, Xero ProAdvisor and cloud accounting specialist, he’s passionate about helping clients simplify and streamline their financial processes for more efficient, accurate reporting.
Towering at 6’5″, Steve makes an immediate impression—but it’s his warm, approachable manner that truly stands out. In his role, he leads client relationships with a steady hand, acting as a trusted point of contact for support and guidance. Known affectionately as the “Gentle Giant” by both colleagues and clients, Steve combines his commanding presence with a calm, friendly nature and a gift for building strong, lasting relationships rooted in trust and open communication.
Steve has worked alongside Matt for nearly two decades across two previous firms, and now at James Rose, building not only a strong professional partnership but also a lasting friendship. That shared experience ensures a consistent, client-first approach that runs through everything they do at James Rose.
Outside of work, Steve keeps active at the gym, loves family time with his wife and two young children, and enjoys heading out on fishing trips with his son. With a strong professional background and a down-to-earth personality, Steve brings both dedication and balance to everything he does – offering clients not just expertise, but real support they can count on.
